Colin Kaepernick is one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL. His playing days got cut down because of his activism and stance before the games. Back in 2018, the league had to pay out the departed San Francisco 49ers quarterback and settled a collusion lawsuit with Kaepernick and Eric Reid. There was a nondisclosure agreement deal in principle. But how much did the NFL pay them to clear it up?

Colin Kaepernick had a striking pro-football career alongside the San Francisco 49ers as the QB1. Kap was one of the most lethal dual threat quarterbacks in the league at that time. He pulled up major statistics, which made an interesting case of him as a top guy in the league. Now that his days in the NFL are no more, he has transitioned himself into an activist, fighting for the rights.
When revealed that the NFL settled the grievance case of Colin Kaepernick against the NFL for $60 million to $80 million. However, Andrew Beaton of the Wall Street Journal claims something else. Kaepernick and fellow NFL player Eric Reid would end up receiving just under $10 million.

Even though all sides acknowledge the settlement blocs, the level of compensation was yet to be disclosed. However, just after they discover the sum, many individuals assume that less than $10 million is just too cheap.
In their grievances, Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid claimed the league ostracized them after they sparked a popular uprising by taking a stance before gameplay to stand up for their rights. QB Kaepernick, who remains unsigned for the past 5 seasons and files his grievance in 2017. In 2018, safety Reid did the same, and Carolina Panthers eventually signed him nearly halfway through the 2018-19 season.

It was revealed in February 2020 that Kaepernick was indeed continuing to work on a narrative, but was also introducing his own publishing house.

Colin In Black and White, directed by Ava DuVernay, is also about him. The show will be based on Kaepernick’s life, and he will serve as a narrator, writer, and executive producer. It will air on Netflix. Consistency has evidently seemed to be the crucial component of Kap’s progress. Be it the NFL, Netflix, Nike, Mission Advancement Corp., and beyond. On top of all that, Kaepernick still is enthusiastic about returning to play.
