The 2020 NFL season did not end on a positive note for Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. The AFC South old boys parted ways with former GM/HC Bill O’Brien midway through the 2020 NFL season after starting the campaign with four back-to-back losses. Interim HC Romeo Crennel steadied the ship (somewhat) later on.
However, the Texans still finished third in their division with a 4-12 record. They’ve also parted ways with star defensive end JJ Watt in the offseason. Not to mention, the situation involving wantaway quarterback Deshaun Watson.

“It’s just part of the team-building process. I wouldn’t say there was any one specific factor, or any one particular thing that goes into it. … When it came time to pick at 67, we felt like that was the best decision for our team at the time. It doesn’t impact anybody. Again, our whole philosophy has been to create as much competition as possible and we’ll continue to do that,” Caseiro said earlier today.
It must be noted that Davis was a top-rated prospect out of high school. A five-star recruit, Mills was ranked as the top quarterback in his class. However, two consecutive injuries hurt his progress as a quarterback during his time at Stanford.
