As Aaron Rodgers sat on the ground shaking his head, thousands of dreams were shattered. The New York Jets brought him to fulfill the quest of winning a championship. Upon watching the gruesome injury, Dallas Cowboys’ GM Jerry Jones expressed to 105.3 The Fan that he felt “sick for everyone”. These comments come in the wake of the coaching staff, fans, and fellow NFL players devastated because of the injury. The Jets did win afterward but the injury cloud is hovering over the franchise.

Talking to Healio in 2018, Joshua D. Harris MD revealed that 28% of players can have a career-ending injury due to an Achilles injury. He conducted research on 95 players and found that mostly the issue is fixed after surgery, which only leads to a player missing a season. According to Harris, the performance parameters after the injury drop among recovering linebackers and running backs. But they remain the same for the rest of the positions.

Therefore, according to this research, there is a chance that Rodgers is going to be back in full flow. If we believe in Joshua D. Harris’ research, QBs return to action in a similar shape before injury. However, the research that happened five years ago didn’t allude to how age can affect these patterns.

Appearing in Undisputed, Irvin believes that the four-times MVP will “definitely be back”. He believes that since he has only one Super Bowl, he would love to win some more to be in “conversation with the greats that came before him”.

The FS1 analyst gave prolific reasoning as to why the legendary QB will be able to manage the rehab well. He did acknowledge that “rehab is going to be difficult” but he also feels that since the action will be limited there, he won’t have to run 20 yards with full speed, and can recover for next season.
