For young athletes, it is a dream to team up or compete against Tom Brady. He is in his 23rd year in the game, and no athlete would prefer missing out at the moment. The Buccaneers take on the Browns in Week 12, and a rookie athlete is waiting to sack TB12. Cleveland DT Perrion Winfrey is hopeful to come back in Week 12 and compete against The Pharaoh.

When the Cleveland Browns chose the DT in this year’s draft, Perrion Winfrey was over the moon. He looked like one of the biggest steals. However, his rookie year was a rollercoaster after missing out on a few games due to injuries. He hopes to make a return to face Tom Brady in Week 12 and sack him.

Rookie DT has eyes on Tom Brady

Perrion Winfrey mentioned, “It’s just like another thing that I’m going to be able to write in my book one day. I’ve been gone for like a month, and the first game I get to come back is against arguably the greatest quarterback of all time and then I get the chance to possibly sack him if this is his last year ever.”

“So I’m just blessed to be able to go out there and give it my all and I’m not going to say I’m going to do anything. I’m just going to make sure I do my job every single play, and the results will follow,” He added.

The Browns’ rookie DT missed four games. Two of them occurred as a result of maturity issues. But Winfrey believes he is progressing. The remaining occurred after the rookie fell prey to the concussion protocol.

How did Perrion Winfrey land in the concussion protocol?

The Cleveland Browns were running the season without some rookie power with Perrion Winfrey under concussion protocol. They listed him as a non-active player for the game against the Buffalo Bills after missing two days of training. The Browns’ defensive tackle was in concussion protocol after suffering head trauma in a scooter mishap.
