The Green Bay Packers find themselves in a limbo. Their franchise QB, Aaron Rodgers, wants out of Green Bay.

The problems started when the franchise decided to draft QB Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. Clearly brought in to replace Rodgers, it’s understandable that the move ticked him off.

But Rodgers answered back with an MVP season himself. But even that seems to have failed to convince the Packers organization. With no contract extension talks in the offseason, reports flooded in that the QB had played his last snap in the league.

While it’s not unusual to see veteran QBs change sides later on in their career, the thought of Rodgers leaving Green Bay is one that NFL fans are yet to fathom. And it’s something that Hall of Famer Peyton Manning too seems to not be okay with.

Manning hopes Aaron Rodgers will stay in Green Bay

Talking to TMZ Sports, former Colts QB Peyton Manning said that Rodgers and the Packers remain synonymous with one another.

“When I think of Aaron, I think of him as a Green Bay Packer,” Manning said. “Hopefully they can get it worked out,” he added.

Incidentally, Peyton Manning too had made a switch later on in his career. A switch to the Denver Broncos enabled him to pick up his second Super Bowl ring.

“Aaron doesn’t need advice from me. He’ll make a good decision,” Manning said.

The Broncos are one of the teams apparently interested in trading for Rodgers. With young gun Drew Lock, the franchise is yet to see the results they desire.

But as we know, this is a franchise that isn’t afraid of going all in to land a veteran franchise QB. But Manning maintained that it is every players’ dream to be a one-team man.

“I think every player, their goal is to stay in one team the entire time if they can.”
