Lamar Jackson is vying for a Super Bowl as he praises Tom Brady
During Tuesday’s press conference, a reporter asked Brady about Jackson and his prowess on the football field. In reply, Brady said, “He’s an amazing player and he challenges defense. He has a really unique skill set – his ability to improvise, make plays with his legs, extending plays, and they do a good job with that offense.“
“He’s obviously very dangerous with the ball in his hands, and they’ve got some weapons too. It’s a tough challenge for our defense. We’re going to have to play a real complimentary game, play tough, hard-nosed football, and try to get a win,” the Bucs quarterback further said.
It is worth noting that, when Brady first announced his retirement earlier this year, he posted a story on his Instagram where he wrote, “You’re next.”

Many thought that was a passing of the baton moment for Jackson and Brady. When asked about why he rates Jackson so high, Brady replied, “I just think very highly of him. I think he’s got a great future.“
Later, reporters asked Jackson about Brady’s comments. In reply, he said, “I was saying, ‘hopefully I’m next to win the Super Bowl.’ You know, [he’s] got seven of them. Hopefully that’s what I’m next [for]. That’s what I was hoping… A Hall of Fame quarterback, like I said, the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time), of course. It means a lot.“

Undoubtedly, Jackson has massive admiration for Brady and what he has done over the years. Meanwhile, this will be their second match-up after they met for the first time back in 2019 when Brady was playing for the Patriots. In that meeting, Jackson got the better of Brady, as the Ravens beat the Patriots 37-20. Incidentally, in the same season, Jackson was adjudged the MVP of the league.
This match-up will be an important one for both teams, as they are both looking for a win. Especially the Bucs need this win after losing 2 back-to-back matches. They are both at the top of the table of their respective divisions. But, they are not having a great season. So, this will be a test for both teams, particularly their offensive line.
