NFL and Lowe’s are teaming up to help the Kansas City Community Garden by organizing a special event. This event is all about gardening and promoting healthy living. One famous NFL player named Travis Kelce, along with his mom, was part of the event. They both love gardening and want to encourage others to do the same. To show their support, the NFL and Lowe’s are donating $25,000 to the Kansas City Community Gardens. This money will help them continue their great work in the community.

Travis Kelce shared that even before he became a football player, he used to help his dad in the garden. He didn’t do all the digging and planting, but he had fun and learned a lot from his dad. ?Tell you what my dad actually used to have me in the garden all the time. I wasn’t more so spread and mauled he had all the fun and you planted them and all you wanted to.? He told this to someone, seen in a video uploaded by NFL on Instagram story.

During the event, Travis was busy putting the finishing touches on some things. He fixed a nameplate on the wall and said it fit perfectly, whooping “Fits like a glove”. He also tightened screws on the wooden barricades around the event. He seemed to enjoy his work and did it very well.

To everyone’s surprise, Jamaal Charles, a former player for the Chiefs, also came to support the event. He also signed footballs for his fans who were there to see him.

Travis Kelce encourages self-sufficiency

This event helps people by giving them plants, seeds, and tools so they can grow their own fruits and vegetables. Travis mentioned that not everyone can easily go to a nearby grocery store, so it’s important to provide resources to help people grow their own fresh produce at home.
