You talk about the NFL and one of the first names that pops up in everyone’s minds is Tom Brady. It is safe to say that Brady is a modern-day NFL legend. Similarly, when one talks about Brady, New England Patriots is possibly one of the first names that people associate with the quarterback.
After all, the legendary quarterback spent the past 20 years of his career with the Patriots. This is why it came as a shock to many when Brady was released by the Patriots. After leaving New England Patriots, the quarterback joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This Sunday marks his first return to the Patriots’ home stadium as a Tampa Bay player.

On Sunday, Tom Brady, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will return to the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium. On Tuesday’s episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast, he talked about his return and shared his excitement but also stated that he “wouldn’t expect a homecoming.”
He then continued, “I think they’re there to root for their team, and their team is the Patriots. And I’ll certainly have a lot of people that cheered for me over the years, I know there’ll probably be, I’ll have a lot of family there and I have a lot of friends that have wanted to go to the game…. The home crowd at Gillette is a great crowd. And I think they’re going to cheer for their team as I would expect them to.”

The 44-year-old quarterback shared a video on social media that highlights some of the most memorable events in his career, including several with the Patriots. A replica of his now-iconic NFL draft shot opens the video. The next transition depicts the notorious “Tuck Rule” game in the 2001 AFC divisional-round playoffs versus the then-Oakland Raiders.
The film continues with Brady recounting all of his Super Bowl appearances, with a humorous twist. Brady smartly skips over his defeats to the New York Giants (twice) and the Philadelphia Eagles. The clip finally ends with Brady, dressed in Bucs clothes, boarding a ship to his destination for this week’s game — Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
