Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg might have just earned himself a casting call in a future Tom Brady biopic. The star will surely be close to his phone amid his wish to star in it. The 50-year-old declared his intent to play the role of Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

The news will not be pleasing for Brady, who did want Wahlberg to play him in it. During a Brady interview with 2018 Westwood One radio, the now-retired QB did pick Wahlberg to portray him on the big screen. Brady was high on him due to his grind-it-out demeanor towards acting in general.

During Wahlberg’s interview with Variety, hypothetical talk about the biopic came up that led to his statement. Wahlberg believes he is too old to play Brady and did have his mind made up on someone else entirely.

While explaining who he would play, he states, “I could play Bill Belichick! I would love to play Bill Belichick. The next five interviews that I do, I’m going to be Bill Belichick. On to Cincinnati, a yes or a no answer, and I’m gonna annoy a lot of people.

Wahlberg also shared his views on Brady’s retirement news and was mesmerized by his achievements. He was in awe of his 22-year long career, and his 7 Super Bowl Championship rings. He also was part of those fans who believe Brady could have carried on for 5 more years.

While on a promotional tour for his upcoming movie ‘Uncharted’ he had interviews with People magazine. He presented his views on the apparent snub by Brady of the Patriots organization from his Instagram retirement post. He believes that the NFL great has left an indelible mark on the game and Patriots that won’t go away.

The kind words from the Hollywood actor will be appreciated by the now-retired sportsman. Despite anything Brady will do, NFL fans like Wahlberg are always going to remember his legacy in the game.
