The New York Jets are desperate for A-Rod on their team, and the man sure knows it. The in-demand QB has presented the Jets with a wish list of players he wants to bring along if he is to join the team. The four-time NFL MVP has been subject to rising curiosities among the fans about which team he will join next. And it seems he is leveraging his popularity for a chance to play with his best friends. What’s even more surprising is the fact that the Jets seem to be giving in to the demands.?
Who’s on the wishlist?
According to ESPN, Rodgers wants wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb, and Marcedes Lewis on the tight end. All four of them are currently operating as free agents. Rodgers has played alongside Lazard, Cobb, and Lewis during his time with the Greenbay Packers. And while he hasn’t played with Beckham yet, the two are good friends. He has, in the past, also expressed interest in playing alongside Beckham at some point.

The Jets are eager to please. Lazard has already agreed to a four-year contract of $44 million with the New York team. And they are apparently also pursuing the other two free agents. While it is not clear if they’re going to pursue Beckham too, reps were present at his open practice. Meanwhile, Rodgers has still not settled on what team to join or to retire.

As a New Yorker I would love to see Rodgers on the Jets but this wish list can be so much better. Is he coming to NY to have fun with his friends or to make a run at another ring?
