Retirement blues are real and Tom Brady, the star QB, is the ultimate face of that struggle. The NFL star had a hard time staying away from the field, coming back just 40 days after announcing retirement on Feb 1, 2022 and rejoining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After a series of flip-flops, Brady finally called it quits this February, officially ending his illustrious 23-year career. But the persistent rumors and Brady’s teasing comments fuel the speculations that he might not be done with football just yet.
The NFL star recently made an appearance in the YouTube sensation Mr. Beast’s video only to mess with fans and drop hints about a potential unretirement.

In his latest video, Mr. Beast took the crew on a yacht adventure showing them boats that cost $1 to $1 billion. Along the way, the team met with Brady, accompanied by his children, on a jaw-dropping $300 million vessel. They took a stroll through the extravagant boat, soaking in the scenes and joking around. With Brady around, Mr. Beast could not resist throwing down a challenge. Attempting to catch a pass from Brady, Beast hilariously failed.
“That’s what I got paid for Jimmy, Come on”, the G.O.A.T made a sassy remark.
Beast could not stop. He had another challenge for Brady – to hit the drone that was trailing the yacht.

“If I hit the drone on the first try, maybe I should come out of retirement”, he quipped as if the seven-time Super Bowl champion did not know that he would nail it. And true to his status, he aced the throw on his first shot, despite his daughter Vivian’s doubts and reminding the team member to apply sunscreen before going for another one.
And yes, Brady was just joking. He is officially retired. For good?

There have been reports that Brady has signed a 10-year, $375 million contract to join Fox News as a leading analyst. Brady himself confirmed his commitment earlier this year by announcing his plans to cover games for Fox before the 2024 NFL season kicks off. However, doubts are growing with recent reports from NFL insiders that he seems to have reservations about embracing the new role.
It looks like we’ll have to wait for another year to know if Brady will indeed don the new hat.
