Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski will go down in the history books as one of the most dominant duos to ever play in the NFL. After winning three Super Bowls together in New England, the duo joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 to claim their fourth Super Bowl title together.

While Gronk has four Super Bowls to his name, Tom Brady has a record-setting seven. But perhaps what makes Brady’s most recent Super Bowl win more impressive is the fact that he played through the entire campaign with a torn MCL.

“Tom’s toughness is to another level. Sometimes, you don’t even know what he’s dealing with and he’s just dealing with it on his own. And that just shows another level of toughness,” he said.

“Just to go through it and not putting it on anyone else and just dealing with it in your inner circle, which is just a huge sign of just mental toughness,” Gronk added.

While Gronkowski was unaware of Brady’s injury, his mental toughness is something that Gronkowski has always been aware of. And it’s something that makes the tight end respect the quarterback immensely.

“Going out there and just being able to perform at a high level. He’s been always showing that toughness mentality throughout his whole career and he just does whatever he needs to do to get it done. And it’s impressive.”
