NFL players or professional sports players, in general, earn a huge salary. However, with huge tax cuts and non-guaranteed parts of the contract, smart athletes go on to invest in different kinds of businesses to ensure a passive source of income. Aaron Rodgers is no exception. However, while some players invest in shoe brands, apparel, and brand closer to their fields, the investment that Rodgers has made is as enigmatic as him.

The whole NFL fraternity knows that Rodgers is a touch different from his contemporaries. Therefore, it makes sense that even his fiscal and financial decisions are a little bit different. Recently, Twitter saw one of Rodgers’ interesting investments become fruitful and make him a lot of money.

With one of the biggest contracts in the NFL, Rodgers has no need for more money. However, he’s made some interesting financial decisions that are giving him excellent returns. Rodgers first set up ‘RX3 Growth Partners’ to make big investments in any kind of consumer product. There are other NFL QBs who’ve gone on to join the group. With this group, Rodgers was able to make millions of dollars off of just dog food.

During the pandemic years, Rodgers realized that celebrities and popular personalities absolutely love their pets. Therefore, Rodgers made a second-round investment in a dog food company called ‘Nom Nom’. Along with RX3, Rodgers went on to join the company when it was valued at about $300 million. However, since then, Nom Nom has done exceptionally well. It has attracted the eyes of different competitors. The company was recently acquired by Mars Pet Care for a whopping $1 billion.

All in all, Rodgers, along with his band of QBs who’ve invested, ended up making $13 million on the deal. Furthermore, Rodgers has an interesting investment portfolio. Apart from his amazing salary in the NFL, the QB has some interesting investments and sponsors.

The interesting investment portfolio of A-Rod

Rodgers has made some interesting decisions in terms of his investment portfolio. In 2019, A-Rod launched a $50 million venture and growth stage fund with Roth Capital. He remains to be a general partner in that venture. Interestingly, the California native also invested in a minority stake in the Milwaukee Bucks. Apart from this, Rodgers has sponsors from reputed brands like Adidas, State Farm, and Bose. All in all, Rodgers maintains an amazing portfolio that adds to his wealth apart from his NFL salary.

While Rodgers might not have a lot of years left in the league, Rodgers’ financial future seems secure. It only remains to be seen how much more money Rodgers brings in from his NFL career.
