The Tennessee Titans snapped the seven-game winning streak of the Miami Dolphins and with it shattered their hopes to make the playoffs. The Titans thrashed the Dolphins 34-3 Sunday afternoon and with it rose to the No. 1 seed of the AFC. The 11-5 Titans dominated the whole conference, and the fans were excited to see them progress.

Tennessee fans were delighted to see the team dominate the whole play from start to finish. However, what they enjoyed the most was to playfully tease the official who was trying to announce a penalty call, but the stadium was too loud to hear him. Shawn Smith was the head referee during the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins matchup.

NFL referee becomes the crowd favorite

Smith turned out to be the crowd favorite. During one penalty call, he opened up by saying, “Hey, Hey, Hey” to get the attention of the fans. But in response, the whole stadium shouted on top of their voice, “Hey, Hey, Hey.” After that, Smith became a viral sensation on social media.

Although it was an unconventional way to open a call, that certainly made him a fan favorite in Tennessee. The referee stole the show while the Titans stole the game. It was an unfortunate night for the Dolphins since they had worked their way up to this point but lastly failed to clinch a spot.

However, they became the first team in the NFL to ever have a seven-game winning and losing streak in the same season. And all of that happened due to the resilience shown by the quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his team.

On the flip side, the Titans advance to the No. 1 seed in the AFC, pushing the Chiefs down for a No. 2 spot. And as the team continues to enthrall the league with its success. They enter the playoffs with a winning spirit. However, the Titans still have a game left in the regular season against the Texans. And to solidify their No. 1 seed, the Titans need to win their last regular-season game.
