Right after the end of the 2022 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost one of their best players ever. As Tom Brady announced his retirement, he left a huge vacuum in the dynamics of his old team. After Brady left, the Bucs did not have a lot of options for who would be their QB. However, they went on to trade for Baker Mayfield. With Mayfield, as well as their own backup QB, Kyle Trask, the Bucs were looking a little more prepared for their upcoming season. However, there might be a slight hiccup in the Bucs’ plans.
It seems like during the OTAs for the Bucs, Mayfield is having some problems playing with the rest of the team. Furthermore, it might be possible that even though Mayfield has been in the league for so long, he might not even start for the Bucs.

Recently, a video went viral with a video of Mayfield messing up a throw.

The video showcased some bad coordination between Mayfield and his targets. This video surfaced after the head coach revealed that he wouldn’t want to let Mayfield just have the starting position. The head coach has revealed that he is going to let Trask and Mayfield battle it out during the offseason. Even though the Bucs organization brought in Mayfield, it seems like they’re going to weigh out their options between Trask and the experienced QB.
With the ongoing dilemma between the choice of QB1, the fans might have had enough. They took to Twitter to talk about how badly Mayfield has been fitting in well with the team.
Fans go crazy over Mayfield’s bad passes
After the video of Mayfield allegedly not fitting in well with the rest of Tampa Bay went viral, fans took to Twitter to speak about it. They went off on Twitter as they mentioned how both choices might not be good for the Bucs. One fan slammed on Trask and spoke about him.
Look I don’t think Trask will be a NFL starter, but you drafted him high, you let him learn behind Brady. He excelled in a “air raid” offense in college. You wasted a pick not to give him a serious look.

Furthermore, one fan made it very clear why Mayfield has been getting so many good opportunities.
The guy is a flash in the pan, he never should have been number one and to be honest he’s better off retiring and seeing if he can get a booth gig, because at this point it’s clear his privilege is the only reason he keeps getting opportunities

One fan even suggested who they should’ve gotten instead of Mayfield.
If anyone in the organization had a brain then they'd pivot to Cam Newton.
