Tom Brady is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time when it comes to the NFL. Nobody has won more than him in the history of the game. As a result, he has often gained comparisons with an icon of another sport Michael Jordan.

Jordan is also widely regarded as the ‘GOAT’ of the NBA, such is his reputation around the world. Both Brady and MJ have shown at the biggest stage that they are straight-up killers when it comes to winning. Brady has won seven Super Bowls, while Jordan has won six NBA championships.

Recently, Brady’s former teammate Julian Edelman appeared on All the Smoke Podcast. He talked about many things related to his time with Brady. He also made a bold statement regarding his former teammate and compared him to Michael Jordan.

Edelman said, “He’s a competitive dude, and it was always funny because you’d see these young a** kids coming in the locker room, I was a young kid. When I got in the league he was like 33 or 34, and then he plays like another 12-13, he’s still playing 14 years.”

He added, “So like there is like guys who were not even born playing with a guy who they saw their whole life, it’s just a freaking God, He’s the Michael Jordan of the sport. You see a kid who’s 22-23, he’s been doing that for like last six years, dealing with these kids.”

Has Tom Brady matched the legacy of Michael Jordan?

Michael Jordan is not only considered an icon of the NBA but also the entire sports world also. He set up standards for other players to follow, and so far they haven’t been matched yet. Jordan had won six NBA championships in six NBA finals. He didn’t lose a single one, which made him the undisputed GOAT of the NBA.

Even though Tom Brady has lost some Super Bowls, there is no denying his greatness in the NFL. He has won more Super Bowls than any other franchise in the league. His killer instinct in playoff games is unmatchable like Jordan. Moreover, unlike Jordan, there is no argument in the NFL that he is the ‘GOAT’.

Jordan’s case as the GOAT is continuously challenged by LeBron James. However, there is no other player in the NFL who could match the greatness of Brady yet.
