A person’s name is their identity in the world whatever or whoever they might be. In most cases, a person does not choose their name and gets it at birth. But, a select few people change it during their lifetime. And how often do you listen about someone changing his/her name three times? However, an Arizona Cardinals wide receiver has left the NFL world in splits after changing his name for the third time while playing in the league.

Robbie Anderson had changed his name just prior to the 2022 season. But as the season drew to a close, he changed it again, making himself a target of a slew of fan jokes.

The Cardinals wide receiver Robbie Anderson is no more Robbie. He has officially changed his name and will now be known as ‘Chosen Anderson’. The WR petitioned the change of name in the court, and it has been accepted. He changed his name on social media to reflect his new legal name.

The NFL world can’t stop laughing after the name change. Many fans pointed out Anderson’s dismal performance in the recent NFL seasons to joke about the name change. Others pointed out the irony and suggested that even the Cardinals would not choose him to start next season. Here are a few fan reactions.

What he wants to be called is Anderson’s own prerogative. It is his legal right to change his name however many times he wants to. But the jokes from the fans stem from the fact that he had a dismal 2022 season with the Cardinals.

A dismal record in the 2022 season 

Robbie Anderson started his 2022 campaign with the Carolina Panthers. And he started it brightly against the Cleveland Browns with a 102-yard game. But his season fell off a cliff after that.
