Deion Sanders, coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, is a proud dad and he proves it every time. The 50-year-old recently debuted as a head coach for the Buffs and has been making news with his team’s exceptional performances. Though Sanders has never been one to shy away from controversies, that still doesn’t stop him from making his mark on the field. His debut match against the TCU Horned Frogs proved all the critics wrong, who labeled him as just a mere “celebrity coach.”
The 2-time Super Bowl winner has two of his sons playing with the Buffs as well. This makes his efforts all the more important, as he wants their glory as much as his. Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders play the positions of quarterback and safety for the Buffaloes, respectively. The season has been off to a great start for the Sanders family and they’ve only just begun.

On the latest episode of the ‘First Take’ show on ESPN, Sanders talks about his son’s performance in the league so far. He mentions how he sees the most of himself in Shedeur and how he’s been his coach all his life. There’s no doubt that Sanders is proud of his son and he amusingly talks about how if Shedeur ever gets an offer to play for the NFL, he’ll still stay in Boulder because he “likes it here.”
Coach Prime goes on to compliment his son more and mentions how he’s been a tremendous player even without his guidance. Currently, Shedeur Sanders is on the list of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy that is awarded annually to the best player in the league. His odds range from +2800 to +2000, which is a very impressive feat for a player. Furthermore, Shedeur is on his way to being one of the best QBs in the NAAC league and at such a young age!

The indomitable spirit of Sanders
Deion Sanders helps inspire the team both on and off the pitch. He’s called Coach Prime for a simple reason. His motivational capabilities are top-notch and he never fails to uplift the spirit of the team. The Pro Football Hall of Famer fought against harsh odds to prove his worth as a coach. Thus, with back-to-back wins, Sanders has been able to revive the team spirit and their winning streak still goes on.
Sanders has been known as one of the greatest athletes of all time. He was able to make his mark in the NFL but also in Major League Baseball. Supposedly, he’s one of the very few players who’s won a Super Bowl and also played in the World Series of MLB in the same lifetime. The man has gone through the thick and thin of life and yet, he is just getting started on his newest coaching venture.
