New England Patriots starting quarterback Mac Jones was back in action against the Chicago Bears. Unfortunately, Jones’ return from a high ankle sprain was short-lived. Struggling to find a rhythm, the quarterback did not impress fans, who were incessantly booing him. New England fans did not appreciate the interception thrown by the quarterback in the second quarter of the game.

Much to the delight of the fans, backup quarterback Bailey Zappe was brought in to replace Jones. The replacement happened during the second quarter of the game. Zappe, who is not a fan favorite, led the team to a very tragic result. Before the rookie QB took over, his team was winning 14-0.

Fans spotted Jones saying, “I’m Out” to his teammates on the sidelines. The quarterback’s disappointment was almost palpable as he wandered along the sidelines looking dejected.

The Patriots are going downhill

Pat’s offense was able to gain a 14-point lead. Unfortunately, that lead was squandered away. The Patriots lost to the Bears 14-33. While fans take shots at the current quarterback crisis, Bill Belichick needs to get his boys in line. The Patriots currently sit at the bottom of their division.

The current New England lineup looks nothing like what they did during their golden era with Tom Brady. Patriots fans will hope that the rest of the season is not as turbulent as the last few weeks.
