Aaron Rodgers became a blazing commodity after the Packers‘ season closed with a loss. The franchise quarterback is under intense speculation after what looked like his final game as a Packer. Since Rodgers is open to a new opportunity, he could move on to a different team this year. The Jets are among the speculated organizations, and a franchise rookie is willing to have A-Rod in N.Y.

After Robert Saleh confirmed the team’s search for a veteran quarterback, the Rodgers-to-Jets rumors reached an all-time high. The New York Jets also hired ex-Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator. Aaron Rodgers is the top name to land with the Jets and become their quarterback.

As trade rumors swirl, a New York Jets rookie spoke about what it would be like to have Aaron Rodgers on the team. According to NFL.com, cornerback Sauce Gardner said during his ESPN Radio appearance that he would not mind welcoming A-Rod to the Jets. The star rookie mentioned, “I mean, you know, I would. I wouldn’t mind that. I just want what’s best for the offense. But, at the same time, I just got to focus on my job and focus on what we’ve got going on on the defensive side.”

Sauce Gardener did not go deep into the matter. Aaron Rodgers would be in the offensive zone, so it may not bother him. But the multi-time MVP would be a humane preference to have in the starting orbit instead of Zach Wilson.

The Rodgers-Jets rumors could become a possibility. It has also caught the interest of prominent media personalities, notably Rich Eisen. While Eisen is not against the notion, he questioned whether Rodgers genuinely understands what it entails to perform in New York.

During The Rich Eisen Show, the host said, “He could play lights out and be comfortable and make his money and win a championship and he would be also on the positive side of things the toast of New York… I just don’t see him wanting to take on a new spot and a new challenge in New York where a lot of things in Green Bay are overlooked or shrugged off or not chewed up and spit out in the way that he’s taking it.
