When LeBron James returned to Cleveland in 2014, it made a certain future NFL Sensation thrilled. Every football fan has seen the picture of a 17-year-old Joe Burrow in a pretty tight Cleveland Cavaliers jersey.

Burrow attended college in Cleveland, and he has been a LeBron James fan for all his life. The quarterback has brought some of that King James attitude to the football field with his performance. Joe had a really good hero guiding him throughout the journey. But from a fan’s perspective, nothing could top the excitement of Joe Burrow when LeBron came back to Cleveland.

LeBron James started his professional basketball career in the year 2003. His hometown team picked the Ohio native. James was the first overall pick of the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron played with the Cavaliers for seven seasons.
In 2010, James joined the Miami Heat. Miami is where King James would get his first taste of an NBA championship. James won the NBA championship with Miami Heat for two straight seasons in 2012 and 2013.

LeBron returned to Cleveland after four years. After James won two consecutive NBA titles, he came back to Cleveland. It made the fans very happy. Joe Burrow was 17 at the time. He couldn’t help but get in his skin-tight Cavaliers jersey and post a snap.
He captioned the picture “He’s home.” LeBron’s second run with the Cavaliers was short, but it did bring them an NBA championship trophy in 2016. James left Cleveland again in 2018 and joined the Lakers. He still plays in LA today.

LeBron James is also a Burrow fan
King James has praised the impressive performance of Joe Burrow before. Early in the 2020 NFL season, the Bengals were set to face the Browns. This was the game where Burrow threw his first-ever touchdown.
The quarterback connected with C.J. Uzomah in the second quarter for a 23-yard touchdown. It impressed LeBron so much that he tweeted, “Burrow is SPECIAL! He has the “IT” for sure.” Joe might have been over the moon after getting a tweet like this from his childhood hero. The bond between the two athletes is something special.
