With Odell Beckham Jr. as a free agent, the NFL is all restless in its approach to land him in a spot that seems quite perfect for him. As multiple teams claim waivers on the wide receiver, only three teams catch the fancy of OBJ, the Kansas City Chiefs being one of them.

The addition of OBJ to the Chiefs’ roster is going to be a turnaround for the franchise which has been struggling to make a strong impression this season. And as the Chiefs possess great potential in the squad, though in a dormant state right now, makes Beckham wonder if he could bring in some more value to it.
Patrick Mahomes has no clue about Odell Beckham Jr.
By the look of the scuffling performance by Patrick Mahomes, it can be said that he would love to use an extra pair of hands for help in receiving the ball. And if those hands belong to OBJ himself, it could just be the icing on the cake for him. But neither is he knocking on OBJ’s door for help and neither has the Chiefs asked him for any sort of consideration.
“No, they haven’t reached out to me or anything like that to do anything like that,” Mahomes said Wednesday. “Obviously, I know that he’s a talented player and everything like that, but all you can do is focus on the day at hand especially this season, so for me it’s just focusing on the best practice I can have right now and let that all handle itself.”"Kansas City's offensive problem isn't depth of talent. Odell's a better fit in KC from the standpoint of having a dominant figure, Patrick Mahomes, within the franchise. But OBJ becomes WR No.1 with the Patriots."

Of course, it is time for the quarterback to focus on himself, especially after all the criticism that he has been consuming all season long for his faulty performances. He has struggled in throwing the football this season with a career-low average of 7.0 yards per attempt and 10.7 yards per completion.

Kansas City Chiefs desperate on OBJ
The 26-year-old quarterback also ranks third with 10 INTs in the list of most interceptions made this season so far, sitting behind Sam Darnold and Joe Burrow. To everyone’s surprise, Patrick has not thrown more than 12 interceptions in any given season. But will the Chiefs actually gain an upper hand by signing OBJ?
Patrick Mahomes calls OBJ a “really good football player,” but like Andy Reid, he said it’s up to GM Brett Veach.

The
Chiefs haven’t had many successful receptions with the likes of Demarcus Robinson, Byron Pringle, and Mecole Hardman this season. As these three receivers have combined for only 780 yards with 11.3 yards per catch and just five touchdowns. It’s clearly a signal that Odell Beckham Jr. is going to fit in the squad like the missing piece of the puzzle. Also Read:
