In the last two months, Aaron Rodgers and David Bakhtiari’s relationship has gone from friend cum teammates to soon-to-be-former colleagues with a lot of indifference in the middle. At least that’s what Bakhtiari expressed about the entire A-Rod to Jets saga during his latest ‘Bussin With The Boys’ podcast appearance. The Green Bay Packers O-lineman certainly doesn’t want to answer any more questions about his QB.
Well, Bakhtiari did end up answering a few important questions. David couldn’t say whether the Jets deal would fall apart. However, he declared that the Packers may have officially shut the door on their veteran passer.

Ever since getting drafted as the 109th pick in the 2013 NFL draft, David Bakhtiari has remained a loyal Packer. However, going into his eleventh year in the league, David will be protecting a different quarterback for a change. That is happening, whether Aaron Rodgers finally makes the Broadway-bound move. When the hosts asked the OT if he has gotten tired of being asked about Aaron Rodgers, David replied curtly.
“Kudos to him. He’s always being talked about. Very mysterious. I think he kind of likes that. I mean, honestly, it’s been kind of chill. He’s a Jet now, so it’s their problem. I mean he’s gonna be,” Bakhtiari said.

nbsp;Aaron Rodgers came out and announced his intention to play for the New York Jets last month. However, after 26 days, the parties seem to have made no progress, currently negotiating the compensation package for A-Rod.

If the Jets deal falls through, is Aaron Rodgers likely to start for the Wisconsin-based franchise next season? Well, Bakhtiari thinks not. “I think that has probably been put to rest. I think they gave the keys to Jordan [Love],” he added.
Aaron Rodgers put his conditions on the table for Green Bay in the off-season. And it included extensions for certain key players. Players who were influential both on the field and in the locker room. And Bakhtiari was one of the glue guys. However, while Green Bay restructured David and kept him on the roster, it wasn’t to protect Rodgers, but Jordan Love.
