Patrick Mahomes leads the race for the MVP this season with another inspirational performance against the LA Chargers last night. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Los Angeles side with less than two minutes on the clock. And fans, including some Hollywood celebrities, were thoroughly impressed.

Famed Hollywood actor Henry Winkler was present at the SoFi Stadium on Sunday to cheer his Kansas City Chiefs and meet his favourite player. Winkler met Patrick Mahomes after the game and even got his very own Mahomes-signed jersey.

The Fonz is a fan of Patrick Mahomes

Justin Herbert and the LA Chargers put up a valiant effort at their home grounds. However, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had more than a minute to come back in the game. And sometimes, that’s all that the Warrior Chief needs. The 2020 Super Bowl MVP drove the offense for 75 yards on 6 plays in a minute and fifteen seconds to find the dependable Travis Kelce.

Veteran Hollywood actor Henry Winkler was present to cheer the Chiefs and was ecstatic after Mahomes’ game-winning drive. After the game, Patrick Mahomes came to greet the ‘Barry’ and ‘Happy Days’ star and even gave him his own Pat Mahomes signed no. 15 merchandise. “I think that I just met one of my heroes. I think that he was so genuine,” Winkler said.

Henry Winkler played the legendary Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, also popularly known as the ‘Fonz’ or ‘Fonzie, in the American sitcom Happy Days. Kansas City Chiefs players were just as excited at Winkler’s arrival as Henry was with the Chiefs. TE Travis Kelce sported a Fonzie t-shirt during warm-up with the quote “Football Family Fonzie.

The Kansas City Chiefs won a thrilling 30-27 comeback win against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs improved their record to 8-2 this NFL season while Herbert and the Chargers fell to .500 in the league. Patrick Mahomes threw at a 59% pass accuracy for 329 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce put up some mammoth numbers after connecting with Mahomes for a hat-trick of touchdowns. Kelce ran for 115 yards over 6 carries averaging a whopping 19.2 YPC.

23-year-old RB Isiah Pacheco, who was drafted by Kansas in the 2022 NFL draft, recorded an impressive 107 yards over 15 carries. First-choice wide receivers Juju Schuster-Smith and Mecole Hardman missed the game on Sunday. However, the Chiefs displayed offensive dominance till the very end of the ball game.

Sunday’s game changed nothing at the top of the AFC West Division standings. The Chiefs still lead with the Chargers on second. Next Sunday, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs face the injury-ridden reigning Super Bowl champions, the 3-7 LA Rams, and Aaron Donald‘s defense.
