Jerry Jones is a powerful businessman and the owner of the most expensive franchise, which is the Dallas Cowboys. He has amassed a net worth of a whopping $12.1 billion! All that money came from hard work. Although Jones did immensely well money-wise, he wanted a teach a lesson to one of his sons. Therefore, he coerced Stephen Jones into applying for a job.

Jerry Jones started his career as a football player at the University of Arkansas. To grow further, he tried out his hand in several ventures. Later, he founded Jones Oil and Land Lease. That is how he got into the oil business. Here, he succeeded greatly.
In February 1989, Jones purchased the Dallas Cowboys for $140 million; it was the first time any sports team surpassed $100 million.
Jerry Jones wanted his son to learn a lesson
Jerry Jones‘ son Stephen Jones’ dream was to play college football. He wanted to follow in his father’s steps. Jerry Jones advised his son that if he wanted to commit to the sport, he needed to work out towards it and treat it like a real job. This proved to be a piece of great advice for the young prodigy.

While Stephen Jones was partying with his buddies to loud music in the swimming pool, his father returned home early. He left the company to go over to his dad. The son recalled the words Jones spoke, “He said, ‘We’re going on a little job interview.’” Stephen recalled, “I had no idea what he was talking about.” They drove to Wendy’s, which was owned by Jerry Jones’ friend.
“He walked me through the process of the training program and what I’d be doing — cleaning out the grills and the griddles and the grease pits.” This is how Stephen Jones got the job.

While driving back home, Jones asked his son if he was excited about his new job, to which he answered he was. The Cowboys owner and the great businessman wanted to teach his son a lesson about hard work. Instead of being at home, Stephen Jones understood that he should have been working.
