Fox crowned their mid-season Offensive Rookie of the Year. Kenneth Walker III won the award. The rookie running back from the Seattle Seahawks. The 2nd round pick has taken the league by storm, crossing already 500 yards of rushing in 8 games.

It is the time of the year for FOX’s mid-season awards. While the fans vote for their favorite players, there are winners, and then, because of the nature of individual awards, there are losers.
On one side, Walker has made many fans proud by taking home the mid-season OROY. On the other side, rival fans and other spectators of the sports are clashing on the internet over this announcement.

Even with the RB having a stellar season, many believe there are better candidates. In spite of the result already being final, names of rival RB Dameon Pierce and Breece hall keep coming up as their respective supporters battle it out on Twitter.
Fans react to the Seahawks RB winning the award
While some congratulated Walker for this feat, others cannot accept his victory over Pierce, an RB for the Houston Texans.
WTF y’all see Walker doing better then Dameon? Don’t give me shit stats look at teams remember Football is a team sport not a one man show Walker has a way better o line (middle) way better Receivers (yes good receivers help running back) Dameon is just better if you watch games

Since Pierce did not win the award, this fan only had one conclusion about this snub.
Damien Pierce doesn’t exist i guess

This exchange on Twitter, without a doubt, sums up the Pierce vs. Walker debate in the thread.
Pierce plays on a DRASTICALLY worse team. Love K9, but comparing them this way is completely unfair. Pierce is nasty.

Following this debate, there were also fans who said that if Breece Hall was not injured, he would have been the clear winner.
Dude lucky Breece Halls season ended early cuz he was about to be unanimous lmao

And while Hall, who is an RB for the New York Jets, is done for the season. He is being pipped to win another award next year.

His critics won’t take away the player’s trophy. And whether he deserves it more than his competitors is still a heavily debated topic. Yet nobody can argue that the Hawks have struck gold with this player. They picked this player with their 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. After impressing the world with his performances at Michigan State University, he luckily fell unexpectedly in the arms of John Schneider and Seattle.
