The football fans would recall Peyton Manning as an undisputed legend — if not the GOAT in the NFL. He developed superb accolades and also gave edge-to-edge competition to Tom Brady. He is now away from the game and is focusing on the broadcasting sector. But if one might wonder if the HOF QB would take up coaching, they would be wrong. Manning revealed an incident that demotivated him to opt for the profession.

During The Colin Cowherd Podcast, Peyton Manning reflected on a legion of topics. But when Cowherd pondered if he would take up the headset and clipboard on the sidelines, he went into denial. The quarterback’s experience mentoring his son’s sixth-grade football team is to blame.

Peyton Manning mentioned, “Coach? I’m the offensive coordinator on my Son Marshall’s 6th grade football Team. We got beat in OT on Saturday. A couple of my players asked me why I ran the Ball so much in the red zone. I think coaching in my future is also out because hearing that from a couple of 6th graders was tough. Hearing that from a 32-year-old wide receiver or quarterback, ‘Hey I haven’t gotten the ball. What are you doing?’ I think that’s out.”

The Sheriff also stated that he does not believe he would want to serve as a general manager. Manning believes he is unqualified, yet he would enjoy serving as a consultant for GMs, players, and coaches who want to explore his intellect.
