Ahead of the game day, owner Clark Hunt kept an update on the 2022 NFL MVP’s health update in his appearance with Fox News. He suggested his ankle could be a problem since it is not fully cured. “The great thing is Patrick’s a very fast healer, and he was able to get ready to play the AFC Championship game, you know, in a week on that high ankle sprain and did just an amazing job, including making the pivotal play at the end of the game that helped us win it on his legs. He’s doing great this week. I don’t know that he’ll be 100 percent, but he sure isn’t going to tell you otherwise,” Hut mentioned per Pro Football Talk.

Clark Hunt dealt with a follow-up question to rate Mahomes’ injury on a scale of 100 ahead of game day. As the owner struggled to respond, his wife, Tavia Hunt, came in for the rescue. She said, “It’s MVP.”
