On The Rich Eisen Show, Sports Writer and Analyst Ian Rapoport said, “My biggest question was does this mean he got a new contract and it does not? You know. I think what this is like, Kyler, you know, took a stance he didn’t show up. He showed everyone he’s not happy he has done that a couple of times as has his agent Erik Burkhardt said a couple of times this offseason to be like we want a new contract. We want it. Yesterday, here is our view.”
Kyler Murray had some issues with the team regarding his contract. Murray had desired a long-term contract, but he will be playing the 2022 season with the Cardinals. He might also stay for the 2023 season as the Cardinals have chosen his fifth-year option worth $29.7 million.

Ian further said, “The team is kind of on the same page on the show. The team wants to give him a new contract. Steve Kim has been on the record a couple of different times saying that he believes it will get done, and they love Kyler Murray. So I feel like it’s like well.”
The GM of Cardinal’s General manager Steve Keim had said that Kyler is not going anywhere and nothing has changed between them. Steve is looking forward to working with Kyler and achieving something this summer.
