Carson Wentz is regarded as one of the top NFL quarterbacks amongst the current starters. Drafted by the Eagles at 2nd overall in the 2016 draft, Wentz has been a prominent feature in ‘The Eagles’ offense. As a result, he has earned plaudits and an analyst argues that Wentz is “a superstar player” who isn’t recognized as one as he is not surrounded by potent weapons.
Analyst reasons out that Carson Wentz is a superstar
As per Colin Cowherd on The Herd, “I think I’m ahead of everybody on Carson Wentz. He is a superstar player that has had to overcome absurd wide receiver injuries. Zach Ertz is his best weapon and Zach’s not really a vertical passing like Travis Kelce or Jimmy Graham in his prime. He has average running backs, they’ve had a good offensive line but it has been battered with injuries these last 2 years. Wentz has essentially carried this franchise. So it’s time for Wentz or on the fence.”

Now Cowherd compares The Eagles quarterback to Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott.
When asked if he would take Wentz over Dak Prescott, Cowherd replied, “I don’t know how you can watch the two. Wentz is bigger, more athletic with a stronger arm, I would take Carson Wentz. He had a 108% passer rating last year, throwing to trash cans. I don’t know how you would not take him.”
He brings up the week 16 clash between the two sides at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles won 17-9.
“If you watch that game, Dak, and Wentz. Wentz had less of line, less receivers, less running back help, and dominated the game.”
Next up he discussed Wentz vs Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers

“Sounds crazy. I think I’d have Wentz. He’s bigger he’s stronger. I don’t think he has quite the release of Aaron Rodgers. Last 3 years- take out Wentz’s rookie year- that’s not fair- take it out. Last 3 years.”
“He’s got a better completion percentage, more TD passes (81-67), a better record and a better passer rating than Aaron Rodgers. What more do you want? What more does he have to prove? And he doesn’t have a star receiver or star back like Aaron. I don’t even think this is controversial.”
