Aaron Rodgers‘s debut season with the New York Jets has met a sudden end. His tearing up of his left Achilles tendon is looking severe. As Rodgers misses the entire season nursing his injury, an ex-Falcons cornerback has thrown his weight behind the NFL giant. Speaking on ESPN’s “On Get Up” talk show, Foxworth shared his honest opinion on the player’s injury and his new role. “He didn’t die. He’s still there, I disagree slightly because the leadership role he occupied, he can still occupy.”

Elaborating further on the same, Foxworth suggested “The maturity he was going to bestow on Zach Wilson, he can still try to do that and he can still be there and talk through and give the guys confidence.” The former Broncos player held the opinion that the SB MVP could portray the role of mentor and leader from the sidelines. It’s the amount of experience and game awareness that the 10X Pro Bowl possesses that he can groom Zach Wilson. Additionally, he can prove to be an asset to the side and guide them to another SB title. Rodgers will look to work on his fitness and nurse his injury in the meantime.
