It is going to be a blockbuster matchup this week when Tom Brady will meet Dak Prescott in the wild card game of the season. One of the primary concerns for the Cowboys right now is the underperforming Prescott and his inaccurate throws leading to NFL-high interceptions. Recently Jerry Jones tried to defend his quarterback but couldn’t convince experts like Shannon Sharpe, who bashed the owner for his extraordinary remarks.

The Cowboys quarterback threw 15 interceptions this season and registered the highest record in this league. Despite staying away for a few games owing to injuries, he fumbled with poor performance. Even though Jones resonated confidence in the passer, Sharpe analyzed the situation closely and mentioned that his statements made no sense.

In the recent episode of ‘UNDISPUTED’, the former Hall of Famer statistically presented the scenario. His co-panelist on the show, Skip Bayless, agreed with his analysis and the duo called out Jones’ “DNA” remark over Dak Prescott.

“The only point that he has, I see better than I hear. I hear what Jerry said. But I see in the last game, he has at least one interception in all seven games, as a matter of fact, and for those seven games, he has at least two,” Sharpe said on the show.

“Isn’t it in the DNA? What’s in the DNA is that you’re turning the ball over. He had 14 fumbles last year, he lost six, he cut that down. He is just talking, just like he does a lot of times. Because it’s not making a whole lot of sense. He can’t convince anybody that Dak is not turnover prone,” he added to his statements.

Recently the 80-year-old businessman who appeared on a radio show said, “It’s in Dak’s DNA not to turn the ball over”. But looking at the current season, his statements contradicts reality. Something that Sharpe and Bayless pointed out correctly. Anyways the stage is set, and the Buccaneers will host the Cowboys for Monday Night Football at Raymond James Stadium.
