She disclosed the news on the Sunday Night Football broadcast and explained the unavailability of Murray for the next nine months. That means he won’t return until October 2023, exhausting the entire offseason and the start of the regular games next year.

Meanwhile, Kingsbury refused to acknowledge the reports claiming that he didn’t have any updates. “I have not heard that,” Kingsbury said via ProFootballtalk. Anyway, it isn’t a surprise anymore, given the rumors of a possible rift inside the locker room stay valid.

For the past couple of weeks, reports emerged of a possible back-and-forth between Kingsbury and Kyler Murray. They allegedly had conflicted interests and hence deteriorated their relationship.“It’s not good. It seems particularly bad this year. They’re cordial. It’s not the relationship you want from your quarterback and coach” a source said, per ESPN.

However, there haven’t been any clarifications from either of them. Regardless of the authenticity of this dispute, Kingsbury’s tenure in the franchise seems unlikely next year. The Cardinals underwent terrible seasons suffering huge losses since the head coach took charge in 2019. They currently rank 21st in total yards and 18th in scoring this season, as a result, the association is expected to break anytime soon.
