The NFL offseason had some major spectacle to witness. With some major trades and gains, many athletes have made their career-building transitions to other franchises. He mentions, “You left Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. I don’t know if I could’ve ever left Troy Aikman. I don’t think I could’ve done that. You can still go live there in your house in the offseason, but I’m not leaving those quarterbacks. Let’s see how this plays out.”

Both sides boasted excellent quarterbacks, according to Irvin. He’s interested to watch how things go with Tua Tagovailoa and Derek Carr. They are not, however, Mahomes and Rodgers. The former wide receiver also believes that if they are unable to back up their figures with execution, the franchise may do what Dallas went with Amari Cooper as well as his $20 million agreement.

For Irvin, there’s no doubt that Patrick Mahomes had highly beneficial chemistry with Tyreek Hill on the turf. Much indeed, QB Rodgers had some incredible success alongside Adams. Both franchises had a stellar run in 2021, thanks to the QB-WR on-field dependence.
While they move towards their new franchises, it is yet to see if QBs Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers will make an impact without their favorite receivers. It can have a vice versa thing as well: Will the receivers have the same punch without their long-term quarterbacks? It would be a fascinating subject to analyze for the 2022 campaign and possibly thereafter.
