The Baltimore Ravens are currently leading the AFC North with a season record of 6-3. While they are thriving on the NFL front, the franchise made sure that they appreciate the emerging talents, especially when it comes from the family.

The Ravens’ offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s son has added another milestone to his football career. The youngster happens to be a high school-level player and plays for Mount Saint Joseph as a free safety.

He registered five interceptions this year, and this news seems to have caught the attention of Ravens management, who recently congratulated the youngster on his achievement. “Shout out to OC Greg Roman’s son, Greg, for leading the local area with 5 Int this year!” The franchise captioned its Instagram story with a snap of the football field.

Well, this happens to be a matter of extreme pride for Roman, who had an illustrious career as a coach. Starting his career in 1995 with the Carolina Panthers, Roman had come a long way.

The Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, and Carolina Panthers were some of the franchises he worked with. Throughout this career, Roman collaborated with the Ravens several times. Back in 2006, he began as an offensive line assistant for the side, and parted ways two seasons later, he rejoined the squad as the tight ends coach in 2017.

As a teenager, Roman enrolled at Holy Spirit High School in New Jersey, and after receiving an academic scholarship, he went to John Carroll University in Cleveland. Today, he is recognized as one of the veteran coaches in the league and happens to be a great OC for the Lamar Jackson-led unit.

With a gunslinger at the quarterback position, the Ravens are leading the AFC North with six wins. Not to mention, they incurred three losses, but the franchise is slowly emerging as one of the title contenders in 2022.

Just like the offense, the defensive squad played a vital role in their success. While speaking to the reporters, outside linebacker Justin Houston spoke about their plans and last week’s victory against the Saints. “I think this gives us a big boost, i think we know who we are. I think we had a lot of growing pains at the beginning of the season, and we are still growing.” Houston said.

“When got a bunch of hungry dogs and they really want it and come together as one, the sky is the limit, and I think that is what we have,” he added. It will be interesting to see how long they will be able to carry forward their winning streak.
