Snoop Dogg has always been involved with the National Football League in one way or another. The rapper is good friends with many athletes and legends of the game, and he is a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He also performed at this year’s halftime show. Now, Snoop will have even more influence on the league.

The Green Bay Packers have signed the nephew of Snoop Dogg, Keisean Nixon. Nixon will be a good addition to the special team. The former Las Vegas Raiders cornerback finds a new home in Wisconsin. The Packers GM Brian Gutekunst announced the news on Saturday.
Keisean Nixon’s relationship with Snoop Dogg
Keisean Nixon grew up in California. He is the nephew of the legendary Snoop Dogg. Nixon was also a part of the youth team coached by Snoop in 2005. The rapper owned a football league back then. After Nixon was selected as a sixth pick in his junior high season, the rapper even gave him a shout-out.

Snoop Dogg also sent him a message saying, “Do it big and do it for the coast. Put on for my city, but really just stay focused and just be another SYFL legend.” The nephew also praised his uncle’s work by saying, “Snoop made sure every kid could play. It was cheap for kids to play, so it was athletes everywhere.”

The cornerback played at Arizona Western College for a couple of seasons. Nixon spent his last two college seasons at South Carolina. He made two interceptions as a junior, one of which returned for a touchdown. People expect a bright future for the star athlete. Keisean Nixon was a part of the 2019 draft class out of South Carolina. But unfortunately, the rookie went unsigned. No team picked him up that year.

The Las Vegas Raiders picked up the undrafted cornerback. Keisean Nixon spent three seasons in Las Vegas. He played a total of 40 games. He started two of those games. The CB recorded 20 tackles and a pass on defense. He also made 18 tackles on special teams.
