It has been a whirlwind few months for Green Bay Packers fans. After a promising season ended in disappointment, Packers fans’ world turned upside down after news broke out of franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers wanting out.

Ever since the news first made waves on draft day, the situation seems to have only gotten worse. With Aaron Rodgers skipping the side’s OTAs and minicamp, the rumors of his exit have gained more steam.

The Packers management hasn’t done much to douse the fire either. With team CEO Mark Murphy hinting at Rodgers being a “complicated fella,” there’s not been much scope for optimism among the Packers faithful.

But one recent development might be the best piece of news the cheeseheads have gotten in months.

Aaron Rodgers renews golf course membership at Green Bay

According to a tweet by TheScore WI, Aaron Rodgers has renewed his membership at Green Bay Country Club for the remainder of 2021.

Opened in 1995, the golf course at Bellevue, Wisconsin, is a 15-minute drive from Lambeau Field. Rodgers has previously been spotted at the 18-hole course on numerous occasions.

Rodgers even has a big golf game coming up next month. Taking part in a charity golf game, Rodgers will team up with pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau to take on NFL counterpart Tom Brady and golf legend Phil Mickelson.

Understandably, Rodgers has been working on his golf swing to prepare for the big game. And perhaps that has made him enthusiastic about playing on even after the showdown against Brady.

Renewing his membership indicates where he might be looking to carry on his golfing exploits. Sure, this isn’t a sure shot indication about whether or not he’ll be staying at Green Bay, but the news surely comes as a ray of hope for Packers fans.

Rodgers’ affinity towards the city and its fans is well known. The quarterback reportedly wants some sense of insurance from the Packers front office about being the side’s starter going forward.

Renewing his membership might not mean much, but the front office should know that the ball is in their court. Give Aaron Rodgers the assurance he needs and your franchise QB will be back doing what he does best in a Green Bay Packers uniform.
