The Packers have lots to think about ahead of Monday’s clash. Eyeing their fifth SB title, the 104th NFL season is set to be a deal-breaker for the side. Matt LaFleur & co. is determined to make an impact after the glassware eluded them for 12 years. But there’s a conundrum with their players’ recent injuries.

On paper, it seems that the Green Bay Packers are ticking all the boxes with their formidable line up. However, as two key players’ injuries loom, it’ll be a race against time for the management to catalyze the rehab before their first game on September 11. After Romeo Doubs, injury woes continued for the side as the team’s wide receiver and left tackle didn’t turn up for practice.

Green Bay Packers are looking to start their campaign on a positive note. However, they are facing some serious availability issues. The side’s wide receiver Christian Watson, along with the left tackle David Bakhtiari, did not turn up for the practice session. While Watson is doubtful with his injured hamstring, it seems that Bakhtiari’s December 31, 2020 ACL tear is still haunting him.

The Packers management has had a tough time managing Bakhtiari’s injury and even awarded veteran days off. As per the HC Matt LaFleur, he’s optimistic about the LT’s return against the Bears. He positively exclaimed, “We anticipate him being out there on Sunday.” However, the chances seem bleak as the 2X First-Team All-Pro missed two practice sessions in a row. The 2020 First-Team All-American winner too sat out for a second straight day. All the injuries aside, the side’s new QB would look to fill a legend’s shoes as the season gathers steam!

Jordan Love has his task cut out for the Packers

Jordan Love, the Packers’ new quarterback, has challenges of his own. The new-look Packers, sans their talisman Rodgers, are banking on Love. The 24-year-old would be facing the heat to replace the NFL GOAT. With A-Rod dominating the Bears single-handedly throughout his time at the Packers, Love would have some massive boots to fill.

However, the 2018 Utah State Second-Team All-MWC is well-prepared for the situation. The starting QB who plays better than anyone is looking to topple the opposition. He spoke confidently, “You kind of get here and you get a feel for the rivalry and just how tough it is.” The Packers are confident about their new QB game. The side strongly believes that the player’s presence alone would be enough to keep the domination alive.

According to the reports, the team won’t be rushing the rehabilitation process for Bakhtiari and Watson. However, they, along with their fans, would be silently praying that the replacements in place deliver the results.
