‘Greatest Coach in NFL History’: Tom Brady Responds to Former Coach Bill Belichick After Snubbing Him In Retirement Address

It seems like after retiring, Brady has been using Instagram a lot. Technology can have that effect on people. Tom Brady has been posting a lot of Instagram stories recently. In one of those stories, he thanked his former head coach. 

Bill Belichick released a statement for Brady after he retired. Former New England quarterback, however, snubbed his old team and coach in his lengthy retirement statement. But newly Instagram story addicted Brady acknowledged Belichick’s statement with a nice compliment. From one GOAT to another, the feelings are mutual. 

The relationship between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick

The legendary head coach Bill Belichick has been a part of the NFL for almost half a century. Belichick holds numerous records, and he is the reason we got Tom Brady. Brady was impressive in college, but nobody wanted to take a chance with him in the league. The year when he was drafted, everyone had already picked the players they needed. The 23-year-old Brady was still left on the list. 

Coach Belichick took a chance with this skinny quarterback from California. Little did he know Tom Brady would go on to become the greatest player in the history of the NFL. This HC and QB duo has an impressive record. They have won 249 games together, including six Super Bowl victories.

We have seen a lot of insights about the relationship between Brady and Belichick over the years. The most notable was from Brady’s documentary series ‘Man in the Arena’. Despite everything the duo has been through, for some reason Tom Brady did not mention Belichick and the Patriots in his retirement statement. 

Brady responds to Belichick’s statement 

The New England Patriots’ official Twitter account posted the statement of their head coach. In the statement, Bill praised Brady a lot. He said he was privileged to have coached Tom. After seeing the statement, Brady posted a story on Instagram. In that story, he wrote, “Thank you Coach Belichick. I appreciate being coached by you, the Greatest Coach in NFL History.” 

Brady has been using Instagram a lot these days. Previously, he praised Lamar Jackson in one of his stories. Brady implied that Jackson will be the next GOAT.
