Football season is finally upon us. With the preseason underway, NFL fans are now less than a month away from seeing their favorite teams and players battle it out on the gridiron for Super Bowl glory.

While 2020 was a departure from the normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 promises to be different. With fans allowed to be back in stadiums, the games will have a much better feel to them thanks to the cheers, boos and everything in between.

The 2021 NFL season will kick off in Tampa, Florida as the defending Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady play host to the Dallas Cowboys.

And if fans weren’t hyped up enough with the return of football, they’ll now have one more reason to tune in on September 9.

Ed Sheeran to headline NFL Kickoff Experience

As per reports, international pop superstar Ed Sheeran will be headlining the 2021 Kickoff Experience presented by EA Sports Madden NFL 22. The event will take place at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, Tampa and will be the main draw among all the other events lined up for that day.

The event will commence at noon is set to feature several activities such as football-themed games and photo opportunities with some NFL superstars.

Ed Sheeran’s performance will start at 7 pm ET and will air on NBC and the NFL Network. As per the NFL, the full stream of Sheeran’s performance will be available on the NFL app, NFL.com and its Facebook page.

Sheeran a four-time Grammy award winner is likely to perform his latest single Bad Habits which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top 100.

A jumbotron screen will also be put up for fans attending the event to catch the game between the Buccaneers and the Cowboys. The Buccaneers are firm favorites to win the opening tie thanks to the evergreen Tom Brady.

But one shouldn’t count the Cowboys out just yet. With key absentees such as Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper returning from injuries, America’s Team has the potential to pull off an upset. More details about the event are available at NFL.com/KickoffExperience.
