Tom Brady has led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into the playoffs despite having a rocky season. That should count for something. But, knowing the QB, TB12 will be gunning to go all the way to the end. From past experiences, the NFL world has learned to never write off Brady, no matter how dire the situation looks.

If there’s anyone who can orchestrate a last-minute comeback and make it look effortlessly planned, it’s Brady. But from the looks of it, it takes a lot of effort for the QB.

Tom Brady has dodged retirement rumors for a very long time. But since the QB is showing no signs of stopping, the football world has moved on to speculate where he will head next season. When asked about what he thought about the reports of his potential landing spot, Brady went from satirical wariness to quiet resignation.

Upon hearing the word report, he let out a wary “Uh oh” that got him a few laughs. He followed that up with a very resigned, “I don’t know, you guys gotta write something new every day, so just wake up, try to show up, and do my job.” Three very simple things are powerful enough to put a halt to the speculation, at least momentarily.

The storm brewing behind Brady’s words may indicate that the QB is tired of the reports linking him to other teams. Is it safe to assume that TB12 hasn’t given the future any thought because he remains focused on the current season? Perhaps. But the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s situation is unlike other players. With a career history as successful as his, there’s no doubt he will be heavily sought after- despite being 45 years old.

The league faces no shortage of teams in need of a quarterback, and a player of Brady’s caliber would be swept up in the blink of an eye. The number of reports makes sense, given Brady is practically the face of football. But from the looks of it, the QB seems like he has better things to do now than address the speculation.

Brady has bigger fish to fry

The regular season was far from a breeze. The Tampa Bay squad struggled with inconsistency and a slew of injuries rocked the boat. As they head into the postseason to take on the Cowboys, being in top shape should surpass all other requirements. From the start of the season, the Cowboys have been blatantly confident about their team’s ability to take the championship.

While there are several other contenders gunning for the same goal, the Cowboys’ chances cannot be overlooked. With a stellar defense, they pose a major threat to any offense, especially the ones with a few soldiers down. Brady’s frustrations on and off the field will be put on the back burner at present. The Bucs will take on the Cowboys on Monday night.
