Before the Packers left for the United Kingdom, the media gathered around Aaron Rodgers in the locker room. He reflected his thoughts on how the purpose and importance of having games on an international level. Moreover, he also shared some memorable fan interactions.
Aaron Rodgers mentioned, “There were people excited. I met like local football team guys and the coach there to Super Juiced, loving the Packers. I was in Hungary and got stopped by a couple of guys on a bachelor party from Croatia. He was a huge Packer fan.”

“Then I was in Greece and also a guy recognized in Greece, so there’s Packer fans across Europe. It’s going to be fun taking over. I’m expecting a higher percentage of Packer fans and Giants fans, even though obviously the Giants are on the East Coast, but excited to be over there and feel the environment and those European sports fans,” He added.
The Green Bay Packers will take on the New York Giants in their first international tour. It is the 32nd and last NFL franchise to play in the U.K. since 2007. The Giants will perform in London for the third time. Aaron Rodgers will also be the inaugural defending MVP QB to compete in London.
Aaron Rodgers opens up over NFL Europe’s importance
During the locker room media scrum, the Packers quarterback recognized how special NFL Europe remains. The audience reaction was typically quite positive now because it’s all about cents and dollars for the league. They were most likely losing some money. But, Rodgers reasoned that the overall expansion of the game in Europe was worth it.

The NFL International series would witness five matchups this year. After the Vikings-Saints game, the Packers and Giants would battle each other at the Northumberland Development Project (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium). Apart from the UK, Mexico and Germany would host one game each.
