Athletes in every sport play with passion. And sometimes, in the heat of the moment, they do something that is frowned upon by the sporting world. The ‘sportsman spirit’ is the bedrock of the said world. The Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs got fined for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’.

The Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook also got fined for his conduct in the game against the Miami Dolphins.

Dallas Cowboys players fined

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Parsons and Diggs of the Dallas Cowboys have been fined for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’ for things that happened during the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The league fined Parsons $10,609 for flexing over and talking to the Eagles TE Dallas Goedert. Diggs got a $9,577 fine for taking off his helmet after a late Eagles TD.

In the other game, the NFL also fined the Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook for throwing the ball into the stands. Cook did this after scoring a game-winning touchdown against the Miami Dolphins.

The Cowboys lose to the Eagles

The Eagles continued their perfect start to the season with a sixth win on the bounce. This time, the team on the receiving end was the Dallas Cowboys. Philly dominated the game from the kickoff and went into halftime with a big 20-3 lead. Dallas did come back into the game in the second half, but it was not enough. The Eagles won 26-17.

Parsons finished the game with three tackles and Diggs managed just one. The Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts. He also threw two touchdown passes for his team. The Cowboys QB Cooper Rush had a game to forget. He threw three interceptions in the game.

This was the second loss for the Cowboys this season after six games. The 4-2 Cowboys sit third in the NFC East table. The table leaders Eagles are 6-0 and currently are the team to beat in the league.
