The Cheeseheads can finally let out a sigh of relief. The Green Bay Packers’ charismatic QB, Aaron Rodgers, is seemingly out of another injury scare. Ahead of what is possibly a do-or-die encounter against the Chicago Bears, the Packers would be hoping to have their main man leading the offense. And as it stands, that outcome seems likely.

Rodgers broke the news, while on his routine appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’. He said, “I got good news with the scans yesterday, so I plan on playing this week,” sparking celebrations among hosts Pat McAfee and AJ Hawk. “There was an earlier shot in the game that kind of rattled the rib cage,” he said.
He added, “I pride myself on not coming out of games and I’ve played through a lot of different things over the years, some that got attention, some that haven’t got attention.”
Aaron Rodgers’ injury gave Jordan Love the perfect opportunity
Rodgers‘ injury last game gave the Packers a chance to see how well backup Jordan Love can play. And he did not disappoint. He demonstrated why he was a first-round pick in 2020. Although having not started a game since his draft, there was nothing about him that suggested he was a regular bench warmer. In fact, his performance sparked an intense debate among fans and analysts: Is it time for the Packers to move on?

With only a few games remaining in the season, the Packers‘ chances of making the playoffs are minimal. In fact, their best shot at having a miracle entry into the playoffs necessitates that they win the rest of their games, which seems like an ordeal in itself. Their 4-8 record this season has firmly cemented their status as a non-threatening team.
The popular opinion is that the Packers should use the remaining games in the season to test Jordan Love comprehensively. This gives the Packers the added benefit in the form of rest days for Rodgers. A fully healed Rodgers is more essential to their plans if they intend to overturn their fortunes next season.

That is if Rodgers is still playing. With over 13 years in the league, no one can be absolutely sure if he intends to play next season, which makes getting Love to be comfortable with the offense even more critical. Will the Packers push Rodgers to his limits yet again this season? Or will they finally acknowledge their defeat and look forward to next season?
