Retired NFL legend Tom Brady and actress Bridget Moynahan’s eldest son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan turned sixteen this Tuesday. To mark the occasion, old family photos were dug up, and heart-felt wishes were written by his parents, step-mum included, who took to Instagram to congratulate Jake on his sweet sixteen. However, Brady’s new flame surprised everyone with her reaction. 

Jack’s turning sixteen brings with it a set of hurdles. This “next step” will mark his slow transition from the world of teenage dreams to the world of a young adult. In his Instagram post dedicated to his son the seven-time NFL winner acknowledges that.

Brady, 49, on his eldest son’s birthday, shared a collection of unseen family pictures on Instagram, complete with a special caption that read,”16 years of joy with the ( sweetest, kindest, most loving etc etc 🥰❤️) son, brother, friend and teammate any parent could ever hope for.” 

In an earlier Brady Brand promotional video aired around May, Brady admits how being a father changes a lot of things for him, “When my son Jack was born in 2007, my life changed forever.” “Nothing is more important to me than being a father,” the famed quarterback said. 

He stated similarly on his Instagram post, “You have changed our lives since the day you were born.” He shared three pictures of Jake, the first one with himself, the second one with stepbrother and sister Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10, respectively, and the final picture captured the two young boys on a wooden pier.

The star quarterback seems to be preparing his firstborn for the challenges that lie ahead of him- starting with a learner’s permit. This marks the ‘next step’ in Jake’s life as upon clearing the operational tests he will be able to legally operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

Stepmother and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen also put up an affectionate birthday post saying, “I remember when you were just a little peanut, and now you are towering over me.” The pictures she shared included one with herself from when Jack was a toddler, a picture of all the three kids together, followed by a picture of him towering over her as they stand back against her back.

Jack’s biological mother, 52-year-old actress Bridget Moynahan, put up a post a day prior saying, ‘Kindness is the single most powerful thing we can teach children.’ However, Tom Brad’s new supermodel girlfriend, 37-year-old Irina Shayk refrained from posting anything apart from herself at a Tennis court dressed in yellow and white. It may be because she is yet to meet Jack or in hopes of drawing no additional attention to her rumored relationship.

How Everyone’s Life “Changed” in Due Course

The NFL Star quarterback was with Blue Bloods actress Bridget Moynahan from 2004 until late 2006. Brady started dating Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen before marrying her on February 26, 2009. Bridget Moynahan was three months pregnant when she and Brady split up, their only son John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was born in August 2007. Bündche and Brady have two children together and announced their divorce in October 2022 after thirteen years. Brady is currently rumored to be dating Russian supermodel Irina Shayk. 

Regardless of the change in the dynamics of relationships, one thing has remained constant between the parties involved. Each one of them understood the importance of cooperating and co-parenting in order to make sure their children grew up to be kind and compassionate souls. As Bündchen aptly admits to Vanity Fair, “We are a team, and that’s beautiful.” Parenting, much like football, takes teamwork.
