In the 21st century, there are only a handful of professional athletes who played in the NFL league and the MLB at the same time. Deion Sanders is the only name that comes to one’s mind when asked about an athlete who dominated both and is still associated with football. But did you know about how Patrick Mahomes almost became a baseball league player? He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 37th round of the 2014 season, but he decided not to pursue that career path.

The star QB of the Chiefs has grown up playing baseball and almost went pro. So, it’s no wonder that he dominated in a recent event when he was pitted against other celebrities in a softball match.
