Newly retired Tom Brady seems to have all the time in the world. After a successful 23-year career, the QB finally put his playing career to rest. While Brady is arguably the most accomplished quarterback in the league, his driving skills may need some work. The former Bucs star took to Twitter to share some clips of himself and the NFL world couldn’t help but laugh.

After announcing his second retirement, TB12 is now dabbling with the racing world. However, fans don’t have to worry about seeing him on the track for now. But Brady did have one massive announcement concerning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Let’s take a look at his upcoming endeavor.

Tom Brady has been quite active on social media. The QB has been posting regular updates of his family’s off-season shenanigans. But now, he came forward with something much larger. TB12  announced that his company ‘Brady Brand’ will be a team sponsor for Hertz Team JOTA at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The QB took to Twitter to make the announcement.

Seated in a racing simulator, the QB said, “I got a new team,” before adding, “When you think Brady, you obviously think speed.” But the events that followed were contrary to that sentence.

Brady attempted to drive a car on the simulator. In a comical tone, the QB asked, “It’s manual?” and proceeded to swerve on the track. He added, “Everyone chill out. It’s my first day, alright?” His caption for the video indicated that he wanted to take the real car to track, but his insurance agency would not take too kindly to that.  Here’s how fans reacted to Brady’s enthusiastically disastrous attempt at racing.

The iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans is celebrating 100 years of racing. A true test of endurance, it is one of the most anticipated events. But TB12’s ties to the motorsport world go way back. The QB is also friends with 7x World Champion Lewis Hamilton. As representatives of their respective sports, both Hamilton and Brady have expressed their respect and admiration for each other. Perhaps the NFL world will be treated to more collaborations as the QB continues on his post-retirement journey.
