The Aaron Rodgers-Russell Wilson war of words was one unique after-the-match fight. Both legendary QBs were once a part of the NFC; The division has some of the most iconic matches. Just like Rodgers owns the Bears, he once took a sly jab at Russell’s faith. But the former Seahawks QB remained humble and dealt with the beef neatly.

The ‘God’ remark by Russell Wilson came back in January when the Seahawks fell 16-0 at halftime before eventually winning 28-22 in overtime. After throwing the interception in that game, Russell Wilson said that God talked to him and told him why it happened. It prompted Aaron Rodgers to take a shot at his faith in Christianity.

After Aaron Rodgers‘ dig, Russell Wilson lays out his thoughts. However, he did not address the Green Bay Packers QB directly. Wilson avoids any DangeRuss comments that could lead to controversy. His response was a humble one.

Russell mentions via CBS Sports, “I think that in terms of that comment in all that, you know everybody has a right to their own opinion. I know for me, I’m just grateful that God has given me the opportunity to play the great game of football. I’m so grateful, I know one of the things my parents always taught me is just continue to remain humble in your victories and your losses, and I think that’s just the thing I’m grateful for, just to be able to play the game of football, and I love it.”

The NFC division is no longer home to Russell Wilson. They may have resolved their conflict amicably.

Fans may have to wait an eternity now that Russell plays for the Denver Broncos.
