The Denver Broncos fanbase has been quite skeptical of their infamous QB Russell Wilson ever since his disastrous first season with the team. Not to mention the recent accusation levied against him of being a bad teammate and being privy to special treatment in the locker room was just icing on the cake. The former Seattle Seahawk is also being accused of trying to get his head coach, at the time, Pete Carroll fired. The QB has found himself in the spotlight yet again. Amidst all the drama surrounding Wilson and his playing career, it was his kids that managed to steal the spotlight this time.

Despite having somewhat of a difficult time in his footballing days, Russell Wilson has another successfully run venture. Wilson owns a kid’s apparel brand called, ‘3Brand’. The brand is aimed at kids who believe in shooting for the stars and inspiring them to be better, do more, and give back. A video of Wilson’s kids excitedly opening up a 3Brand box has given fans a glimpse of the joyous moments that keep Russell Wilson going.

Russell Wilson and NFL Twitter clash again

In a video posted by Russell Wilson on Twitter, his adorable kids can be seen hovering over a 3Brand box, eventually unpacking the contents and sharing it amongst themselves, while an elated Wilson films the entire thing.

The video however seemed to irk NFL Twitter, as several users took turns attacking Wilson.

One user complained that Wilson should be spending more time focused on his game, “Stop posting these garbage videos and work on your game”.

While another wants Wilson to touch more grass.

Another Seahawks fan just went with a not-so-subtle message.

A bunch of disgruntled fans attacked Wilson proving once again that NFL Twitter is indeed a dark place to be in.

Two sides of the same coin

NFL Twitter might be a scary part of the internet, but just like like every other entity there are people who tend to take a different approach. Despite all the negative nancies throwing shade at Wilson and his family, a couple of wholesome fans help maintain the image.

Several users came out appreciating Wilson’s family and sent heartwarming messages to the athlete. This shows that even with all the hate, there are fans who love the player and want him to be the best version of himself. Probably, Wilson should focus on them more.
