“G*****n It That Su**s”: With Aaron Rodgers Out, Travis Kelce Believes the Jets Are ‘Back to Square One’

The most iconic move in NFL history just went in vain. Ending his 18 years of tenure with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers made an iconic move to the New York Jets. However, Rodgers’ Jets tenure was short-lived than anybody else would have thought. In the very first game of the season, Rodgers faced an injury that potentially ended his season, and had put his future appearance in the league in the dark. 

The news of Rodgers’ injury shocked everyone in the NFL fraternity. And succumbing to the drill, the Kelce brothers portrayed their point of view, and it’s not good at all! However, the disappointing reaction is justified as Rodgers surged anticipation to be the Jets’ quarterback, all ended in dismay.

The Jets’ shattered hopes

In their New Heights YouTube channel, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce shared their point of view of A-Rod’s injury. Sharing his disappointment, Travis Kelce said, “Anybody getting injured period sucks. Let alone week one you know four plays into it God damn it that sucks.”

Adding to the disappointment, Jason Kelce shared, “I think we were all looking forward to seeing Aaron Rodgers, go yeah and soon what he was going to do” After this the Kelce brothers stated that the Jets are back to square one with Zach Wilson. And further emphasized how “Hard Knocks” hyped up Rodgers and the Jets, where the Jets got a premier quarterback for the season, but it all ended in an injury.

In their season opener, the Jets emerged victorious against the Buffalo Bills, but the loss of Aaron Rodgers overpowered the celebrations of their first victory.

Aaron Rodgers’ injury

The Monday night season opener against the Bills was nothing short of a nightmare for the Jets. The harrowing moment took place when the Bills’ linebacker Leonard Floyd tackled Rodgers in the early five minutes of the game. Initially, A-Rod looked fine, but after a few minutes, Rodgers sat on the ground, crumbling in the pain. After the medical scans, it turned out that A-Rod had torn his Achilles tendon, which potentially ended his season.

Now the Jets’ camp will be looking forward to their upcoming matches. Zach Wilson will be taking on Rodgers’ role and in the preseason games, Wilson portrayed promising gameplays, giving a moment of relief to the Jets. However, the Jets are aiming to end their decades-long Super Bowl drought. They only have one championship trophy in their cabinet, which they won in 1969.
